Jobs in Farming
Many farmers are able to supplement their primary income with various other ventures that are open to them due to the large areas of land that are often owned by people working in agricultural industries. Some farmers who have a great deal of unused land in their possession may open up sections of the farm to the public. For example, a field that is not being used for anything could easily be converted into a campsite where members of the public can pitch tents of park motorhomes for a small fee. This is an excellent way for farmers to supplement their income, especially if their land is in close proximity to a resort that is popular with tourists.

Other farms may seek to maximise their profits by breeding animals which are then sold privately. It is not uncommon to see farms that have horses for sale. Many people who are looking to purchase a horse will often visit these farms as they will be able to buy an animal for a very reasonable price. By purchasing directly from a farmer potential horse owners will also be given the opportunity to see the parents of the animal they are about to buy.
